He vuelto y esta vez para quedarme.
Después de varios meses de parón, vuelvo a poner en marcha el blog, actualizado y con contenido más a menudo. Pero esta vuelta es especial, coincide con uno de los eventos hípicos más importantes de Galicia, el CSI 2*/5* de Casas Novas, en esta su trigésimo primera edición, una edición con 500.000€ en la prueba grande.
La prueba tuvo lugar los días 11, 12 y 13 de Diciembre, repartiéndose las pruebas del 2* y del 5* a razón de dos pruebas por categoría al día.
El primer día, la prueba pequeña del 2* fue para Karina Aziz, que sumaría un triunfo por jornada en las pruebas del 2*. La segunda se fue para Portugal, de la mano de Joao Pedro Gomes, seguido muy de cerca por Jack Whitaker; mientras que en el 5* gobernaban Jerome Guery y Julien Epaillard.
El sábado, la primera de las pruebas del 2* llevó nombre gallego, el primer puesto para Julio González Róbinson, que fuera segundo en la jornada anterior, el segundo puesto para Javier González Fraga, otro gallego, mientras que se les acercaba un jovencísimo Jack Whitaker, que sin duda sorprendió a todos los asistentes. La segunda prueba del 2* fué para Karina Aziz, sumando su segundo triunfo en la competición.
El Gran Premio Longines de este año fue, sin duda, una sorpresa para los asistentes, ya que una joven holandesa, llamada Lisa Nooren sorprendió con un magistral desempate a asistentes y participantes, consiguiendo alzarse con la victoria en un Gran Premio en su primera participación en la más alta competición 5*. Por detrás, y a solo medio segundo se quedó Hans-Pieter Dreher, y tercero Olivier Philipaerts, que tomaría el relevo ganando el último trofeo de la competición.
El cierre de jornada se saldó con la victoria de Maikel Van der Vleuten en el trofeo Azkar.
El domingo arrancaba a las 10:30 de la mañana, con el trofeo Eroski Center, que volvería a ganar Karina Aziz, consiguiendo con esta su tercera victoria de la competición. En esta ocasión, Jack Whitaker fué segundo, un joven que sin duda a sus 14 años tiene un futuro muy prometedor por delante.
En esta jornada, se alternaron las pruebas, siendo la segunda correspondiente a la competición 5*, llevándose la victoria Laura Renwick, pero por una diferencia mínima, finalizando el recorrido los tres primeros clasificados en el mismo segundo.
La tercera prueba de la jornada correspondió al Gran Premio Tyco, el Gran Premio de la competición 2*. En este Caso, la victoria se quedó en España, gracias a Teresa Blázquez-Abascal, seguida por Joao Pedro Gomes y Duarte Sebra.
Y ya como colofón de la competición, se llevó a cabo el trofeo Caixabank, donde Olivier Philipaerts consiguió quitarse la espina del Gran Premio, ganando desde el principio de la manga de ganadores, dejando el listón en un tiempo muy difícil de batir. Lo intentaron todos los que vinieron detrás, pero los que más se consiguieron acercar fueron Jerome Guery y Luca Maria Moneta.
Ya fuera del ámbito deportivo, destacar de este fin de semana la presencia de Santi Serra con un maravilloso show con caballos en libertad en la pista central, y, apartado del público un precioso homenaje por parte de los mozos portugueses a Coltaire Z.
Y hasta aquí el CSI 2*/5* Casas Novas. El año que viene más y esperemos que mejor. Nos vemos en las pistas!
I’m back and this time to stay.
After several months stopped, I’m back to start the blog, updated and with content more often. But this back is special, it coincides with one of the most important equestrian events in Galicia, the CSI 2*/5* of Casas Novas, at this thirty-first edition. An edition with 500.000€ at the big proof.
The proof takes place in December 11th,12th and 13th, sharing out the proofs of the 2* and 5* in two proofs by category by day.
At the first day, the small proof of 2* was for Karina Aziz, who add a victory by day at the 2* proofs. The second one has gone to Portugal, by the hand of Joao Pedro Gomes, followed closely by Jack Whitacker; while in the 5* ruled Jerome Guery and Julien Epaillard.
On Saturday, the first of the 2* proofs had a Galician name, first place to Julio González Róbinson, who had been second the day before. Second place was for Javier González Fraga, another Galician, while came closer to him a very young Jack Whitaker, who, with any doubt, surprised to all the attendees. Second proof of the 2* was for Karina Aziz, adding her second victory at the competition.
The Grand Prix Longines of this year was, with any doubt, a surprise for the attendees, because of a Dutch girl called Lisa Nooren who surprised with a sensational tie-breaker to attendees and participants, getting rise victory of a Grand Prix at her first participation on the highest competition 5*. Behind, and only half a second, was Hans-Pieter Dreher, and third Oliver Philipaerts, who takes over, winning the last trophy of the competitions.
Sunday starts at 10:30 in the mornig, with the Eroski Center trophy, who would win again Karina Aziz, getting her third victory of the competition. This time, Jack Whitaker was second, a young man no doubt, to his 14 years, has a very promising future ahead.
On this day, the proofs were altered, the second corresponding to the competition 5*, taking the victory Laura Renwick, but a minimal difference, ending the top three in the same second.
Third proof of the day corresponded to Grand Prix Tyco, the Grand Prix of the 2* competition. In this case, victory remained in Spain, thanks to Teresa Blázquez-Abascal, followed by Joao Pedro Gomes and Duarte Sebra.
And as the culmination of the competition held the Caixabank Trophy, where Oliver Philipaerts cane remove the thorn of the Grand Prix, gaining from the beginning, leaving the bar at a very difficult time beating. They tried all that came after, but most got closer were Jerome Guery and Luca Maria Moneta.
And off the playing field, highlight this weekend’s presence Santi Serra with a wonderful show with wild horses on central court and, away from the public, a beautiful tribute by Portuguese waiters to Coltaire Z.
